The Operational & Strategic Finance Executive Difference

Engage the Team - Identify the Issues - Develop the Solutions - Execute

Operational Finance Executive:

An Operational Finance Executive is a storyteller focused on what the numbers really mean from an operational perspective. It’s more than just an understanding of cash flow, it’s a holistic understanding of how the business operates at every level. An Operational Finance Executive provides additional insights into past and present operational inefficiencies and the financial impact thereof.

Strategic Finance Executive:

The Strategic Finance Executive has a holistic understanding of the business as well but brings a forward-looking view of how to strategically alter the path forward of the company. The Strategic Finance Executive leverages knowledge about the historical performance of the company to help build the roadmap for future growth.

Operational & Strategic Finance Executive:

A Finance Executive who is both Operational and Strategic focused will bring a perspective and understanding of every aspect of an organization and leverages that knowledge to help build your company’s roadmap to a thriving and prosperous future while protecting the stakeholders financial investments.

My 25+ years of experience has its roots in General Accounting, Strategic FP&A, and Mergers & Acquisitions within public, private, and equity backed companies with revenues ranging from $8M - $10B. I spent over 12 years with Huntsman Petrochemicals. Huntsman is a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals with worldwide operations and more than 15,000 employees. The Company had 2015 revenues of approximately $10 billion. Huntsman consists of five divisions. The business in which I served is part of the Performance Products Division (PPD). PPD had 2015 revenues of approx. $2.5 billion.

In late 2018, I was afforded the opportunity to enter the turnaround industry as the EVP for the turnaround of a $40M entity. Following the completion of that assignment, I’ve been privileged to work on three additional turnarounds with revenues ranging from $15MM to $60MM. I also assist with M&A transactions and conduct executive coaching mainly geared toward developing operational and strategic focused objectives.
